Network London

Network London Collaboration and networking site and tools to support this high-level citywide community of practice members.network-london.org.uk

We were approached by the FutureGov consultancy to help them deliver an online community and collaboration platform for the London Leadership Network.

Along with information designer Ben Weiner we worked through the brief and developed a tight specification focused on the core requirements and an optimised user journey targeted at an audience who aren't natural users of "social networks" or other online communities.

Building on the (Ruby on Rails based) platform we had developed for the SHEBA project--which is rapidly becoming a versatile and powerful tool for building out a range of applications--we developed the site within a tight timeframe and opened it up in phases to members of Network London and their supporting organisations.

As well as the core SHEBA tools, the application added enhanced content editing tools simplifying the process of pulling in images and videos, an events system, and a range of other enhancements. These are now gradually being rolled back into SHEBA, delivering extra value to both clients.
